L'appartamento è collocato al piano terreno di un edificio situato nel tessuto urbano consolidato del borgo di Tellaro
L'appartamento originariamente frazionato in piccole camere, è stato trasformato con l'introduzione di nuove aperture nelle murature esistenti che hanno reso più dilatata e fluida la percezione complessiva dello spazio e istituito delle relazioni visive tra le singole stanze.
L'impiego di pareti riflettenti in ottone, acciaio e con superfici a specchio ha rafforzato la percezione più ampia dell'appartamento.
Il progetto celebra i temi della tradizione marina, con l'impiego di un pavimento in cemento azzurro realizzato su disegno, in un formato che riprende il deck delle imbarcazioni, con l'impiego di elementi in ottone e legno e con una rielaborazione delle aperture circolari di matrice navale.
The apartment is located on the ground floor of a building situated within the consolidated urban fabric of the village of Tellaro.
Originally divided into small rooms, the apartment has been transformed through the introduction of new openings in the existing walls, which have made the overall perception of space more dilated and fluid, establishing visual connections between the individual rooms.
The use of reflective surfaces in brass, steel, and mirror finishes reinforced the wider perception of the apartment.
The design celebrates the themes of the maritime tradition, through the use of a custom-designed blue concrete floor, shaped to recall the decking of boats, with the use of brass and wood elements and with a reinterpretation of the circular openings of the naval matrix.
